Even though each person is unique and so is their situation, there are definitely overlaps in how one feels when going through the different emotions that come with making the move. Today I’d like to address what I call “Expat Pains” and how to use dealing with these pains for your personal growth.

Today I’d like to give some Self Care Tips that are easy to apply.

There are many reasons to move abroad. As a life coach, I’ve noticed that amongst the group of newcomers are many women who didn’t move to retire, or for economic reasons, or for the climate. They simply moved because they felt a calling to do so! This group is ready for something exciting and new in their life.

Last week I spoke with Melany and Bill, a retired American couple who had been preparing their move for over a year. They started the procedures to become residents, sold their house and said farewell to their friends and loved ones. They joined our Online Coffee & Conversation and webinars to share experiences and ask their questions, and used the Covid time to learn the language. When all of that was done, they were ready to come over.
